Ka-Nom, Not Only Famous for Egg Tarts

When to ask about egg tart, a name of “ka-nom” shop would come up in everyone’s mind. With its popularity, it has been expanded from one to six branches (i.e. Siam Square, Sukhumvit 49, La Villa, Clubhouse Panya Indra Golf Club, City Complex Pratunam, and Chiangmai) over 10-year time. But how many people would know that it does not only sell egg tart and other bakeries, it also sells international food – delicious ones – at their cozy branch of Sukhumvit 49 as well.

At ka-nom Sukhumvit 49 branch, many people like many dishes differently as they offer many good dishes vary from Asian to Western. It has a very good combination of menus that you can visit anytime of the day. Like congee for morning time, Thai a la cart for lunchtime, egg tart with coffee for afternoon time, or even spaghetti for dinnertime.

One of their dishes that I would like to recommend here is Hong Kong Congee. Currently it seems difficult to find a place to eat congee as most famous congee places are either located far from city center or lack of proper facility like parking area and air-conditioning room. But, at ka-nom “Trendy & Fashion” shop, their so-called “Hi-So” congee can compete with those from a list of the old famous places. Their congee with raw egg is to serve with Pa-Tong-Ko - a deep-fried Chinese bun - and such condiments as ginger and spring onion. As everyone have heard a fame of their Pa-Tong-Ko, it’s not so difficult to imagine how high-quality Pa-Tong-Ko shall mix well with high-quality congee. So, now you know where to find the best congee to eat at a comfortable air-conditioning venue with convenient parking area provided ☺

Hadn't been to Ad Makers in a long time since it moved. Atmosphere isn't the same and seems to be too similar to some of the other Thai / hi-so pubs popping up all over the city. Food is still pretty Read More....
