Don't let the grungy Tijuana atmosphere full you as the food is terrific. 490 Baht all you can eat anything on the menu. Awesome! Highly recommend the Taquitos al Pastor. Margaritas are a perfect complement and not watered down. Waiters and waitresses attentive and friendly. Great place to start the evening or to just have a quick bite to eat.

I had walked past Tacos & Salsa many times thinking it was just another dive bar / Mexican restaurant copy cat trying to ride off the success of Sunrise Tacos and Coyote. After reading some discussion boards on Thai Visa I decided to give it a go. To much of my surprise the food was excellent. Everything was freshly made where the meats were marinade with a mixture of lime juice, and local and imported herbs and spices holding true to a Mexican taste; also omitting a definitive and enticing smell where the juices oozing with each bite confirmed the authenticity of the food reciped from someone actually having been to Mexico and capable of delivering a superb product. The tortillas served in the enchiladas and tacos I had where layered and made of corn unlike the cheap flour ones that fall apart and often served-smothered with cheese and green sauce further adding to the robustness. In the future I'd like to see the guacamole improved a bit as it was missing a certain taste, perhaps more salt and lime juice; I believe that the tortilla chips were 'off the shelf' similar to the ones you can buy at The Villa that was a little disappointing. However, the salsas that complemented the dishes were gorgeous of freshly cut onions, tomatoes and chilies leaving my mouth tingling at the end of the meal. Enchiladas-great; Tacos-avg; Chicken Soup a mixture of chicken and red salsa-fair. Garden salad-Garden Salad. Go to a Mexican restaurant, eat Mexican, unless of course your girlfriend doesn't like Mexican and orders a salad. ;-) Overall-good meal and will be going back in the not so distant future.
